DeLouis Heating & Cooling was established in 2016 by Michael and John — a father and son team bringing more than forty years of combined experience into a company built on doing right by people. Since then we've served hundreds of satisfied customers throughout Beaver County and the Greater Pittsburgh region.

We specialize in sincerity. We're commissioned to care for our neighbors as ourselves, and we work diligently to uphold that standard in all of our customer relationships and services — providing high quality HVAC work with honesty, integrity, and unbeatable pricing.

Something quit working, and it rarely picks a convenient time. We diagnose the actual fault rather than swapping parts until it works, explain what we found, and give you the price before we touch anything.

Maintenance

Routine maintenance catches inexpensive, minor problems before they turn into expensive, major problems down the line. Heating and cooling should each be serviced once a year — and it keeps efficiency where it should be.

Installation

When repair stops making sense, we'll say so plainly — and when it still does, we'll say that too. New systems sized properly for your home, installed well, and quoted at a price we'd be comfortable paying ourselves.

Is routine maintenance really THAT important?

Routine maintenance for your heating and cooling systems can catch inexpensive, minor problems before they turn into expensive, major problems down the line.

How often should my systems receive maintenance?

Both heating and cooling systems should each receive maintenance service once a year. Fall or winter is the right time for heating systems, and spring or summer suits cooling systems.

How can I keep my energy bills low without sacrificing comfort?

Ensure that your system is running at peak efficiency through keeping up with routine maintenance — like changing air filters and prioritizing yearly service. Upgrading to higher-efficiency models and improving your home's insulation also make a real difference.

How long should I expect my systems to last?

With good maintenance, furnaces typically last 15–20+ years, air conditioners 12–17+ years, and heat pumps 10–16+ years.

What's the best way to improve air quality in my home?

Diligently changing air filters, upgrading your filter cabinet, adding in-duct whole home air purifiers, utilizing electronic air purifiers, and considering installing a humidifier and/or dehumidifier.

How often should I be changing my air filters anyway?

1" filters need replaced every 30 days. 4–5" filters last 6–12 months. Electronic air cleaners need their filters cleaned monthly, and generally have about a 7 year lifespan.

What are the benefits of high efficiency air filters?

High efficiency air filters need changed less often and put less stress on your system, and they can catch more contaminates than standard air filters.

Is there an ideal temperature to keep my thermostat set to?

Based on governmental efficiency standards, keeping it in the range of 70°F – 78°F year round. That said, comfort is personal — set it where your home actually feels good to live in.
